COMMUNITY STORYTELLING
The Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber Video was my largest scale video projects that I led as the Assistant Producer, Director, Director of Photography and Editor. A client came to our agency with a vision for what her community needed and we made it happen. Our client wanted to showcase her chamber through testimonials and supporting visuals. We created the video by weaving 8 different interviews with unscripted and scripted lines, supporting visuals with Chamber members, b-roll, and aerial footage. Out of this footage we then spun out an additional 8 Business Spotlight Videos for each member. And to wrap it up, we showcased the Chamber video and Business Spotlight Videos in a local theater.
This project means a lot to me because I love bringing someone’s vision into something tangible. This project took place within about a month’s span of filming the interviews. The more I filmed, the more I saw the project being ‘edited’ in my head. After hours and hours of editing, on the deadline day I was drafting up the “Click this link to view your video” email. And even better than the wrapping up a project feeling, the video was well received by the Chamber Director and Chamber members.
